16. Limits for defraying of expenditure.[i]

For the promotion of measures for the improvement of the health and the welfare of insured persons, annual medical examination for insured persons of the age of forty years and above through the Corporation from its own hospitals or dispensaries only and for the rehabilitation and re-employment of insured persons who have been disabled or injured, the Corporation may incur an expenditure up to a limit of rupees one thousand crore per year, or as may be specified by the Central Government from time to time, from the Employees‘ State Insurance Fund. |
